Privacy Notice
How Thrive Mirpur collects, uses and protects your personal data — and the rights you have under UK data-protection law.
Last updated: 14 June 2026
1. Who we are
Thrive Mirpur (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Mirpur-to-UK growth platform that helps businesses in Azad Jammu & Kashmir reach local customers and the UK Kashmiri diaspora. We are the “data controller” for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at hello@thriveseonyc.com.
2. The data we collect
When you submit our free audit form or otherwise contact us, we collect the details you give us, which may include:
- Your name and business name
- City / location and business sector
- Email address and phone / WhatsApp number
- Your website, Google profile or social links
- The growth question or message you send us
- Your marketing-consent choice
We also collect limited technical data automatically (such as the page you submitted from). We do not knowingly collect special-category data (for example religion or ethnicity), and we do not ask for it.
3. How and why we use it
- To respond to your request — prepare and deliver the audit or reply to your enquiry. Lawful basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To contact you about what you asked for — by email or WhatsApp, in line with UK ICO direct-marketing guidance and PECR. Lawful basis: consent.
- To run and improve our service — basic record-keeping and service improvement. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
We will only send you marketing messages where you have agreed, and every message includes a way to opt out. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. When you submit the audit form, your details are sent directly to us by email — we do not pass them through a third-party form processor. We share data only with the service providers that help us operate, under appropriate agreements:
- Our email provider — to receive and reply to your enquiry.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to contact us that way.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU adequacy or standard contractual clauses).
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and audit data only as long as needed to respond and for our legitimate business records — typically up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client (in which case we keep it for the duration of our relationship plus any legal retention period) or you ask us to delete it sooner.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict our use of your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@thriveseonyc.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
