Scoped after diagnostic
Thrive Innovation Lab · Validation Sprint

Four weeks of evidence, before months of expensive building.

The Validation Sprint answers the only question that matters early: is this problem real enough, for enough people, that a solution would be used and paid for? Answered with evidence, not enthusiasm.

The four weeks

A fixed structure, so the answer arrives on schedule.

1

Week 1 — Problem & stakeholder discovery

Interviews with the people who supposedly have the problem. What they actually do today, what it costs them, what they have already tried.

2

Week 2 — Competitor & alternative analysis

Every existing way this problem gets handled — products, services, WhatsApp groups, doing nothing. Where they win, where they genuinely fail.

3

Week 3 — Prototype or landing-page test

The cheapest honest experiment: a clickable prototype in front of users, or a landing page in front of real traffic. Behaviour, not opinions.

4

Week 4 — Evidence review & recommendation

Everything on the table: a written go / no-go recommendation, with the evidence attached and the next step scoped either way.

What "go" and "no-go" mean

Both outcomes are wins. One is just cheaper.

Go

The evidence supports building. You proceed — with Thrive Systems or anyone — carrying interview evidence, a tested prototype, a competitor map and a scoped first phase. Development starts weeks ahead of where it would have.

No-go

The evidence says stop or pivot. You spent four weeks and a sprint fee to avoid months and a development budget. The research usually points at a nearby problem that is real — that becomes your next clinic conversation.

Questions

Worth knowing.

What does a sprint cost?

Scoped and priced in writing after the idea diagnostic, in PKR or GBP. It is deliberately a small fraction of any serious build budget — that asymmetry is the entire point.

Can a sprint run remotely for UK founders?

Yes — with on-the-ground interviews and checks in Mirpur handled by the local team, and UK-hours review sessions. This is a core Venture Desk pattern.

Who does the sprint work?

Senior Thrive staff lead it. Students and interns may assist on clearly-labelled supervised tasks — never carrying the recommendation, which is exactly the boundary published in our internship policy.

Submit an idea or problem

Bring the problem. We will help you test it.

Students, founders, businesses and community organisations welcome. The first response is a short diagnostic — problem clarity, likely user, existing alternatives and a recommended next step: stop, research, prototype or sprint.

Start with the problem. Everything else follows.

Submit it in whatever shape it exists — the diagnostic gives it structure and an honest next step.
