Thrive Skills · Flagship programme

Learn UI/UX design the way products are actually made — research, critique, prototype, hand off.

Ten to twelve weeks, critique-heavy and portfolio-first. You finish with two portfolio-ready case studies and a build-ready responsive prototype — and you will be able to defend every design decision in them.

Duration
10–12 weeks
Level
Beginner → portfolio-ready
Weekly commitment
Published per cohort
Delivery
In-person in Mirpur (hybrid where announced)
Cohort size
10–16 learners (critique-heavy)
Outcome
2 case studies + build-ready prototype

Cohort dates, instructor, fee and exact schedule are published with each cohort announcement — see "the fine print" below for how we handle fees, certificates and promises.

Who it is for

Read both lists before applying.

This programme fits you if

  • You care why a screen works, not just how it looks
  • You can take critique on your work weekly without taking it personally
  • You will talk to real users — research is not optional here
  • You want a portfolio that survives interview questioning

It is not for you if

  • You want a "learn Figma in 7 days" shortcut — tools are the easy part
  • You expect to skip research and jump to visuals
  • You cannot attend critique sessions consistently
How you will learn

20% concepts. 50% guided practice. 30% proof.

Every Thrive Skills programme follows the same practical model: short concept sessions, long supervised practice with mentor feedback, and assessed proof — because employers hire evidence, not attendance.

20% — concepts

Foundations, terminology and live demonstrations. Enough theory to make the practice make sense — never lecture marathons.

50% — guided practice

Labs, exercises, critiques and mentor feedback on your actual work, week after week. This is where the skill forms.

30% — proof

Two complete case studies and a responsive, build-ready prototype — tested with real users and presented like you would to a hiring panel.

Assessment

How completion is actually judged.

"Assessed completion" means exactly that. Your certificate reflects evidence, reviewed by the instructor and recorded against the programme rubric.

Tools you will work with: Figma (components, variables, prototyping), whiteboarding and research templates, accessibility checkers, and AI assistants used honestly as accelerators.

Assessment evidence

  • Weekly critique participation
  • Research evidence and synthesis quality
  • Design system craft in Figma
  • Usability test execution and iteration
  • Two assessed case studies
  • Final presentation and Q&A
The fine print, up front

Fees, certificates and what we will never promise.

Fees & scholarships

Fees are published with each cohort announcement — in PKR, with instalment plans and a limited number of scholarship or sponsored seats where partners fund them. No fee is collected until you hold a written offer showing the full amount, payment plan and refund and transfer rules.

Certificate wording

Certificates state participation or assessed completion — exactly what was measured. We do not call any programme "accredited" or "government approved" unless a formal approval exists and can be verified. Public certificate verification goes live with the first completing cohort.

No guaranteed jobs

Completing UI/UX Design makes you eligible to attempt the internship skills gate — it does not guarantee an internship, a job, clients or income, and we will never tell you otherwise. What we do promise: real practice, honest feedback and verifiable proof of what you can do.

Questions

Before you join the list.

When does the next cohort start?

Dates are announced to the interest list first, and only once the instructor, schedule and seat count are confirmed. We publish no dates we cannot stand behind — join the list and you will hear the moment it is real.

Who teaches this programme?

Every cohort is announced with its named instructor and a real biography — practitioners who do this work commercially, not just teach it. We never publish "instructor to be confirmed" enrolment pages, which is why applications open per cohort rather than year-round.

What does it cost?

The fee, instalment options and any scholarship seats are published with the cohort announcement and confirmed in writing before any payment. Refund and transfer rules are in the training terms.

Will I get an internship afterwards?

Completing the programme makes you eligible to attempt the Thrive Launchpad skills gate. Admission depends on your assessed work, a portfolio review, conduct and mentor capacity — it is earned, not automatic.

Can I use AI design tools during the course?

Yes — as assistants for exploration, copy options and workflow speed. You must still be able to explain your decisions and verify outputs, because interviews and clients will demand exactly that.

Do I need to draw well?

No. Product design is decisions, structure and evidence. If you can sketch boxes and arrows, you can wireframe.

Cohort dates, the named instructor, fees and seat counts are published to the interest list first — and nothing is published until they are confirmed. Joining the list costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
